Can anyone tell me what color wire it is that goes from shifter to solenoid?

Hi,
it is a brown wire that goes from the gear selector to the neutral start switch to the vacuum Control valve solenoid.

Yes, brown--BUT...
the wire is separated into 3 different sections.
The first section goes from the shifter base to a plastic connector under the rear seat.
The second section goes from the other side of that connector, through the same hole in the floor pan as the starter wire, to the neutral safety switch on the transmission.
The thrid section then goes from the safety switch, up through the same harness as the reverse warning light switch into the engine bay, then across the engine bay to the solenoid.
