If anyone has a lead on finding a NOS pressure plate, I'd appreciate the lead.

OR, if you've redeployed a used pressure plate, any advice? Does it need to be scored? Any sure signs its a throwaway?

Thanks!
Kevin

Kevin,
Many years ago (7 or 8?) I found that Daikin Exedy *theoretically* listed the PP and Plate as part of their kits in
their catalogue. I do not know whether they stocvk 'em or list 'em - but they used to.

Fichtel & Sachs (or plain old Sachs now?) may do the same - maybe the German VW shop.

Plan on saving up cubic $$$'s.......

Me personally, given what is required when reco-ing a manual clutch - I suspect MAJOR machine work. At the very minimum..you could try a just-barely-there surface grind of carrier plate and pressure plate - but LOTS of proviso's on that statement.

No Help on this one...

Thanks for the suggestions... Neither Sachs nor Exedy came back with any parts. Still looking.

My VW specialist in the Netherlands has one (or more) in stock.
We checked mine and it came out without any wearing.

I can help you if needed.

Normally they don't wear out on an autostick, because of the torque converter.
