Can I make it happen?I am in a wheelchair an I am building a VW trike.I cannot use my legs to operate a clutch or brake.I was needing some help as to whether this conversioin would be possible. It is a swing axle, bus,I think,I havenl't checked the numbers on the transaxle, yet.IF yes, what years will work, what other things will I need to do to make it work with little trouble? The engine numbers start with 8,  8601888,  making it a 64 I believe.Any advice wil be great!!!!!

If your making a trike it would be much easier if you strated with an IRS section. you can buy brackets to convert a swing axle to IRS but I here it's a pain.

An Autostick in a trike isn't a problem. you'd need to find a Oil pump and hoses, a oil tank, a vacuum tank, the servo modulator and the shifter. The Autostick trans would bolt into any IRS style section. The Bus engine should have the large vacuum on the intake if not you'd need to modify the intake. I've seen single port bus intakes with it though. you'd also have to check that the Oil pump will match up to your cam on the bus engine some are dished some aren't.
