Hey There!

I own a 1971 LHD Semi-Auto Beetle. German Registered, and no Books. I'm currently trying to sell, but I've had no interest. Now starting to think it'd be worth restoring it, as it only needs an Engine re-build.

Any tips on getting the paper work.... getting it re-registered, and the general keeping or it would be much appreciated!

The choice is all yours. Engine's aren't that exxy to rebuild.
You could always convert to a manual and flog the semi-auto spares (being a '71 there's a better chance that the clutch tube has been installed in the tunnel).

If you are in the UK, I'd scrutinise the body really carefully for rust particularly if it is a superbeetle.
