Restoring my 68 T1 autostick

Ok so here's my bug a few years ago



A few years on and she started to look a little sad, so I felt the need for a drastic measure: a big restoration to get her looking lovely 

So here it begins, she is totally stripped



Body unbolted, and ready for the paint shop.



So off she goes, with a new colour scheme ahead, see you in a couple of weeks old girl

I can feel the excitement from here!  Any clues for us about it's future colour?

All I'm telling everyone who asks is that it'll be an original vw colour.
I'm hoping the guys doing it will take some photos as they go.

Heard back from the painters yesterday, good news is that the beetle will be in primer on Saturday and in paint about 4 days later!!
Just cleaning up some of my bits in preparation and found the only part still in its original colour.

Ah very good, looks stunning so far.  I'd imagine the cleaning/waxing products are going to occupy extra space when that arrives back home.

Bit more progress, floor pan now back on wheels, few more bits added and body back from paint today, going to be a busy next few weeks

Wow, what a difference, all that hard work will pay off!  Looking great.
