anyone know what cap fits a Bosch 050 or 010 Distributor??

My Son has an unusual distributor on His 1835cc with twin webers etc.. in a 1955 bodied beetle with 1966 chassis..

at the moment He only has good spark on 1 & 2.. replaced the high tension leads..
didn't make any difference... new points..

He wants to replace the distributor cap... says its different to a 009 cap..

He thinks its a 010 but I thought it was a 050 distributor..
He's away at the moment...

I know its not an autostick.. but good advice usually on here...

PS: I believe I can fit a 009 cap to it with a bit of filing etc..

Hiya Lee,

According to OVH the 050 should be using a  9 231 081 413 cap.

And I believe the 010 uses a  03 001 cap.

     Maybe get him to PM Glenn on thesamba. 010's etc is Glenn's business and he'd know where to get parts.
