I have received a PM from Tina who has a 1971 Superbug  that has an oil leak from the RH side rear.  I believe it would be an ATF hose leaking. She wondered if She should take it to a VW Mechanic.  I suggested She look for a Mechanic who is recommended by others and likes to work on older cars.  Many VW mechanics don't know about Autosticks and call them troublesome. Once all the vacuum and oil hoses are all replaced , You don't normally have any leakage problems. I don't know what country She is located in.  As most of you know, it can be virtually impossible to find a Mechanic to fix an Autostick Beetle or Karmann Ghia, and that is probably why many were changed to manual gearboxes.
