Hi guys,
Haven't been on here in a while and here's why. I moved to China about two years ago. 68autobug, I've even been to Oz recently....and may return soon!
My Ghia sits in storage in the U.S. That's the bad news. But the good news, I am here in China, and this is a funny place. If you want a widget knocked off, well by golly, you can darn sure find someone to knock it off without too much effort.
So....needing some odd autostick part that is getting rare or hard to find? Well, you can find someone here in China to make it, and quick. You've got to pay close attention to quality, but it can be done. Being a engineer, and an AS guy, and a picky bugger to boot, I understand about quality. Rebuild kits for the servo getting hard to find? How bout those lockout plates? I'd bet those could be duplicated here with out much effort.
Anyway, I didn't get back on here to give a sales pitch, just to say hi. And to plant a seed, 'cause I'm getting bored without my Ghia to tinker with.
Hiya Larry,
Good to hear from you again!
We got your brief message last year. Are you going to be with us on the net for a while?
Having the KG sit in storage has gotta be a little frustrating after all the work you put into the beast. Are you in country for a long term or is there a return in the foreseeable future? I spent some time in China in 1987 but the country has changed a lot since then.
China sounds like a possible source for those seals and bushings that seem to have all but disappeared.

Good to hear from you again. China! Always wanted to visit. You have a great idea there. I can think of a few things to get knocked-off right off the top of my head. I'd start with the most difficult stuff. In order I'd say: 1. Vacum control valve diaphragm kit 2. Turbine seal 3. TC brass bushing 4. A couple of those other odd transmission seals 5. Vacum servo diaphragm. Those would be the biggest ones I can think of. Maybe some of the other guys have some adds.

Hi Larry,
Funny that...I was in China last weekend!! They could duplicate anything for sure!
Mike,
If you went to Beijing you wouldn't recognise it I reckon. So much changed before the olympics, and seems to continue!
Gobsmacked by the place....
Regards
Sean
