im heading down to the salvage yard tomorrow and probably a couple more times this week. they have about 15-20 automatic stick shift trans cases with the internals there. and some other misc parts. anyone need anything? ill make sure to bring my cameras tomorrow to take pictures for you all.

last time i was there i seen about 3 in a pile. i picked up one and stuck my finger over the vacuum hose part and pulled on the servo arm and it didnt move meaning that there was no tears in the servo bladder. i think im going to grab all of these i can find

See what they have in the way of oil/ATF pumps.
do you have a picture of what the oil/atf pump looks like? in this manual it just says they are hooked up to the engine. i might have to look through the 50000 engines he had laying around ;D but i love it its fun

I do not have a picture of the AS oil pump. However, it should be pretty recognizable (and different) from a standard VW oil pump in that it will have two outlets (for the ATF hosing) and it will be noticeably deeper than a standard.

Have you gone yet? I can slap together one of my spares and take a photo of it next to my spare donk so you can see the what to look for.
PS. If you find a fair few, SP and DP pumps are different (Flat vs Dished cam, the outside or ATF pump didn't change).

don't forget to replace the two small seals in the dual pump
these two seals keep the ATF and engine oil seperate...
they are available from evw [from memory]
they weren't available for a while..

sorry its going to be a no go for the reast of winter to check out the parts... other things have taken over. starting college this winter for automotive technology. working hard on project rx-403 ;D. this thing is going to be a MONSTER. once this project is done i should have $ and time to go out and find this place again

Spring is here!! Well life has been pretty busy for me recently. Was in collage for auto tech and ended up getting a job as a mechanic. I freaking love my job. But some bad news. Last spring I went to take the ghia out for a spin before winter set in and the farm thing wouldn't shift into gear. I have got to find this junk yard again. If I do I'm buying every auto stick trans part I can find. Last time I was there (3years ago?)they had about 7 or8 in a pile with some nice parts. I just need to get motivated on this thing again and snoop around on samaba or what ever that other website is and fond the guy again with the junk yard.

imagine all those autostick parts....
the Pumps would be the hardest things to find as they are usually left on the engine
if they are sold... so, someone, somewhere has some dual pumps
and probably don't know what they are or has thrown them away...

PS: IF all pumps were painted Yellow they would be easy to find... lol
Maybe yellow for early pumps and green [or ??] for late pumps... lol
