well I traded a 1984 honda goldwing for a fiberfab mg-td with a 1968 vw pan. it has a stock 1500cc motor & an auto stick. the wiring is a nightmare ,so I bought an ez wireing harness. I will post pics soon & keep you informed on my progress
Crash55,
Hi and welcome to the lunatic fringe! mg-td body on a '68 A-S Pan? Can't wait for the piccies!!
You'll probably need some help as any replacement harness will driv eyou slightly mental. Bad enough using
what is loosely termed replacement VW harnesses as they are all for manual cars!
Enjoy

I think I'll be ok. I turned a wrench professionally for 25 yrs, for the last 10 years I have been driving a truck. my 1st job out of school was a mg/triumph dealer. the whole harness was only 3 colorsdred, black& green what a PITA. the more I looked at my car the more sense it made to start fresh. I will post pic soon(Iremember when these bugs were new)
Hi Crash55
I have seen a picture somewhere of the MG bodied beetle..
Best of luck on a big job
and with the wiring
the autostick part of the wiring isn't too bad..
just the neutral start switch --- and the switch for the two ATF temp senders. [this was ommitted after 1971]
and the wires for the control valve and gear shifter points.
cheers
