i have checked and scoured the internet to no avail. ihave removed all the nuts holding the housing to the trans mission and yet the housing is not moving that much, have i missed a step or is there a secret way to remove it. thanks steve

Two things off the top of my head. 1. Have you undone the two nuts inside the transmission - accessible via the "sump plate" underneath? & 2. The release bearing is a little tied up to it, you have to sort of tap off & rotate the actuation arm on top to disengage the arm from the release bearing "ears".

yes i have removed thoose nuts from inside
