Title: Proper Carburetor for Autstick
Post by: 74vbug on 24 August 2020, 17:34
I want to let the members now that last month I installed a new carburetor purchased from cip1 vw.
It has the proper vacuum port the pulls 4 inches of vacuum specified for the Autostick control valve.
No more jerking particularly when shifting Reverse gear.  The carb part number is  C24-113-129-031-KC

Also want to let you now that I am putting my 1974 Autostick Beetle up for sale.  You can email at
ias532@yahoo.com for information.

74vbug,
Hmm..checked on that carb and I do not see the CV port required. The Boss is there, just not drilled etc. It has a port for DVDA, and the takeoff for manifold vacuum. Do they have an AutoStick version you can order?

Interesting that they are selling this "Euromax" brand along with a '74 SVDA Distributor equivalent.

My vacuum gauge shows its pulling 4 inches on acceleration from the lowest port on the right side of carb - looking towards the front of the car
