Title: Ignition switch wiring
Post by: rc.gauthier@comcast.net on 17 June 2021, 05:27
Does anyone know the color of the wire that runs from the neutral safety switch through the ignition switch and back to the starter?  Or where I can find a wiring diagram for a '69 AS?
Thanks

The Samba Technical pages - www.thesamba.com . Has one for a 69 - careful as there may be an A-S Supplement. That one is here : https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/wiring/bug_8_69_additional.jpg .

On my 68 Ghia, it's a light brown or tan color, it's routed in the backseat floorboard along with the starter solenoid harness.
It goes from your shifter, to the Neutral Safety Switch,  and then to the Control Valve.
hope this helps.
