Raynkel,
It's sort of "OK" with a reservation or two. "Both Gears" are mentioned. Is this the two thinner ATF pump gears? That won't do you any favours as the lower shaft is required as it is A-S unique. Also I'd be asking for photos of the gear surfaces on the seperator plate.

When you tally up the pieces they'd come to 75US, but off TheSamba you'd get the entire oilpump as well. You're also faced with an Auction...

Hiya Ray,

Yes, I'd agree with Sean.

I've watched this seller for a time now.  He has a lot of what seems to be very nice parts.  Some (in his online store) are priced reasonably and others are high.  Definitely a pick-and-choose situation with this fellow.  And I would choose not to do business with him at that price.  The pump and lines can be had elsewhere here in the States for less.

Thanks

PS, my AS is working great thanks to you guys.

Now if I could just figure out why after I drive a while it will idle too slow.

The only thing I have not adjusted is the points.

Hiya Ray,

Tuning takes some tweaking.

Insofar as a crummy idle goes, it's amazing what a carburetor rebuild can do.  The idle jet and passages are prone to collecting an assortment of crud and dirt.  Cleaning can be an answer.

I plan to pull the motor this winter and do a seal and gasket replacement, will redo the carb then.

What would cause an oil leak on the top of the motor/trans area? Seems to be quite a build up, up there, but my oil level doesn't drop any that I can see.

Oil cooler maybe?

Hiya Ray,

An oil cooler leak would be the number one suspect.

If you have a stock oil bath air filter, is it nice and secure?  No leaks?  And check the hose that runs from the air filter down to the oil cap assembly.

My oil bath is no where near tight, just sits up there wobbling around :)
