Hiya Lee,

Yep, it's a Bus distributor for sure.

Matter of fact it's a dizzy for the later model (1700, 1800, 2000cc) pancake style engines, IIRC.

Hiya Lee,

I'm partial to the SVDA offered by aircooled.net.

The Bruck unit at CIP1 looks fine; I just don't have any experience with it (or Bruck for that matter).

This may be of interest to you depending on what you are running for a carburetor right now.  Aircooled.net says that no SVDA will properly match up with 30 PICT1 or a 30PICT2.  Not enough of a vacuum signal, I'm guessing.  However, they do have SVDAs specifically built for 30/31 compatibility.  And their distributors are built on Bosch units.

In any event Lee, you might want to point your browser at aircooled.net.  They have information specific to SVDAs and matching up distributors with carburetors.  Might be a good idea to look through that before you actually purchase.

Hi Mike

My carburetor is a Weber that was made to replace 34Pict Solex carbies..

I don't really know anything about them..

it does look similar to a solex apart from the different
accelerator pump..   maybe not to Sean...  lol

but its not the Normal looking weber...
[to Me]

Lee,
Bruck is advertised as "German Quality" but made in China.
CIP1 sells a VW Mexico unit that at least is made by VW and by all accounts is a good distributor. I'd still go for an AC.Net one if I was so inclined. If you have no flat spots, hiccups or heat issues...I'd just run what you have. The Weber is probably a more tolerant carb than any Solex Pict unit, and being aftermarket wouldn't be hampered by emissions. Also, your 009 may be a good German made unit if you've had it for a while.
