Title: The Parts Are Out There!
Post by: Bookwus on 07 October 2008, 00:53
Hiya All,

Nothing Earth-shaking here, but...............

I'm always hearing how hard it is to find AutoStick parts.  Just wanted to let everybody know that I just bought a clutch disc, clutch pressure plate, and throwout bearing for $30.  That $30 also included the shipping.  All parts are in good shape with considerable wear left on the clutch disc.  And these are the parts generally considered to be the most difficult to locate.

All it takes is a little looking.

I agree, I paid a VW shop $100 for 3 complete autostick sets that were from autostick to manual conversion.  Pedals and all.

Hiya 72,

Yep, there you go.

Another "I thought you might be interested" kinda parts item.........................

I just ordered some parts from Wolfsburg West.  These folks have a very well deserved reputation for quality products.  When it has to be a top-notch part, I always think of WW first.

Anyway, they sent along their new catalog and price list.  Interestingly, they are offering a clutch servo rebuild kit for $25.00.  I'm giving some thought to ordering one just to take a look at it.
