Hi,
Anybody have a source for vinyl flames, etc. for the exterior body.  Car I'm building for my wife is getting close and she would like to spruce it up.  THANKS

Hi
I did come across some while looking at an ebay shop last week...
in china...  I don't know what it was as they had nothing I wanted..
I'm sure someone does them in the USA....

they can't all be painted on... lol
My Son put flames on two beetles over the years...

some on the front sides and one on the rear sides..

He is an auto spray painter... lol

He was offered many spray painting jobs when one of the beetles was at a VW show..
but they were all over 900klms from where He lives....

cheers

LEE

No Lee- no luck yet.  I am hoping to find bug specific vinyl.

My Son [an auto spray painter]

painted 3 beetles a few years ago with flames up the sides... [different colors and owners]
Took one of the beetles to a car show...
and He was offered a lot of well paying paint spraying jobs although about 200klms away...lol
as You couldn't feel the flames...  [difference between good and poor painter] [I didn't know that.. lol ]

its probably more cost efficient to have vinyl flames done these days..

I have a photo in a book here of the GT BEETLE vinyl stripes...
they would be VERY rare now as not many were done...
the GT Beetle was sold in the UK..  with a GT Badge...
I will post it on here...
it is quite unusual...

cheers

I have a vinyl decal business on the side here in Pennsylvania and would love to see what that GT looks like. I bet I could make a duplicate set up

Mid America motor works has some kind of vinyl body effects available. They're not flames. I think it's a fade job. I might get it later.

Which country are you in? There is a place in London that does really cheap vinyl graphics for cars/vans. www.overlandexpress.co.uk
