I was wondering how best to remove the oil pump seals. I'm very reluctant to just hack them out. Seem like a pretty easy removal, however  here I am.

Hi
Yes, its just push both of them thru the plate...
just making sure You don't mark or scratch the plate..
back to back as they should be..

don't forget when installing the plate...
to wipe a small amount of ATF {I use My finger] on the ATF seal lip
and the same with engine oil on the oil seal..

this stops them from running dry at start up which can cause premature wear
on the seals lip...

cheers

Thanks Lee,
I wasn't sure if there was a plate they both sat on. I have gotten this far and would hate to have to purchase a new oil pump due to carelessness. Thanks for the help.

Funny how we were at the same point in this. Yeah I took a socket that fit and tapped them out. Came out easily.

Thanks Airhead
