Just received my Zertifikat from VW and they say that the engine number I specified does not correspond to my vehicle's original engine.  I understand that the engine may have been replaced before I bought it, but what confuses me is that I can't find my engine number (AD 451 357) on any of the VW engine number lists that I find on the internet.  So, where did it come from and what year is it?  My car is a 1974 Convertible w/autostick, does anyone know the answer? Thanks.
