First and for most, Hello my name is John, ;D I am new to this forum but I have owned my 1970 auto stick for a couple years now, but all aside, I need to know what kind of carb I should get for my car.

On my current setup,  I have a 30pct-3 Carb with 3 ports going with a 009 distributor (vacuum).  I'm going to buy a new carb but I'm not even sure where to start to be exactly.

I need to know what jets to get, along with the carb.

Here are some pictures.

Thank you.

Hi John
I have just bought a new brosol made in Brasil 31 PICT carburetor from the USA
it is identical to My original 31 PICT 2 carby... but I have been using a brasillian weber for years.  You can buy Brosol 31 pict carbies everywhere but many are made in CHINA and cannot be used at all...  they all look identical...
it cost Me $164 on ebay... only one I could find on the web that was made in Brasil...
it also comes complete with an adaptor attached so it will fit twin port engines.
Mine is single port so it wasn't needed...

look on ebay at : volkswagen carburator solex/brosol
it cost Me $164 plus postage to Aust   He's located in Florida..
it comes complete ready to bolt on... no need to buy any jets...
I haven't got any pics as yet...
these are used on 1300 1500 and 1600 engines... single and dual port...

cheers
