need 71 super vert auto speedo.

 my speedo wont work but the odometer is working I cant find anthing loose so must be needing a new one. can any body help???

Hiya man,

Take a look over at the Samba in their classifieds.  All you need to do is get into the classifieds section and then enter "speedometer" in the search function.

Hi,
I just pulled My KMH speedo apart as the needle always worked OK but the odometer numbers didn't move..
all it turned out to be was the small shaft the numbers pivot on was too far to one side... side with the 1/10th white with black numbers...
I pushed the shaft to the other side with My finger and crimped it with side cutters.    My KMH speedo is a 1971 model from Germany..
I also pulled apart a 1971 1302S MPH speedo  from a car My son was wrecking,
and found it was totally seized up...
the odometer shaft in it was heavily crimped on both ends..
all the gears were much coarser than the ones in the KMH speedo...
so they weren't compatiable...

One other thing, My KMH speedo didn't have the ATF lamp in it, so I carefully drilled a hole in the speedo face ..  now it does...
