Due to lack of Ghias on here thought I'd post a picture of mine, a 1971 Coupe originally from California that I have restored over last 4 years, now residing in U.K. Picture taken on only sunny day we had last year  summers suck in the U.K.

Yes, a very nice Karmann Ghia...

handbuilt by coach builders..

worth at least $24,000AU in Australia...
highest price i've seen over here was around $35,000AU

so, they are much too expensive for the ordinary beetle owner...

Alright that isn't fair. I think I know what my next project car is. Of course after the bug is done. Great job and beautiful car!
