Hi
the best distributor is the SVDA although a good original dual vacuum distributor is OK
so long as it works OK..
Sean can tell You more about distributors. including numbers etc. [Volkenstein]
I was running a bosch 009 distributor for years and thought it was OK until I bought a new bosch SVDA from aircooled.net in the USA... and the difference was unreal..
the vacuum is so smooth at take off, where the 009 [no vacuum] has to wait for fuel to get the engine revving...  the vacuum is there waiting to be used.. in the carburetor..

cheers

Ever heard of Accuspark Stealth? They claim it is a Bosch svda 034 with electronic ignition module installed?

Manni80,
"they claim"....hmmm...I would want to see and fondle that distributor. Is it made by Bruck? = Chinese .
VW Mexico OEM 115 905 205 ZB ? (as per CB Performance) ? Aircooled.net SVDA ?
And I wouldn't mind betting it is has had an electronic ignition conversion.

For an A-S....Given that I am spending your money ;D , Aircooled.net SVDA in POINTS, graphed to suit an A-S.

Contacted them as to origin and if in fact it's a bosch. They said it's a direct replacement for a bosch, and yes it's a Bruck Chinese......no thanks!! Appreciate the heads up! Gonna go with the one you recommended thanks again

The chinese can copy things but seem to know nothing about quality or fit or sizing or what they were originally made from.. lol..
so, they look great usually... in the packet...

I have heard of parts having larger sized holes than originally, because they had no idea of the tolerances of items or where they fit..??
so, many of these items just don't fit... lol   rubbish really...

most don't have "made in China"  stamped on them...   lol
Bruck doesn't even sound chinese... lol... ;D

I try to find a part number of the item...
and then look on other sites that actually say its chinese etc...
or if the part number is an EMPI branded one usually made in CHINA..

as they say, a good used German part is 100% better than a brand New Chinese part...  lol
