Hey guys,
I have reinstalled my rebuilt engine and all the refurbished autostick parts. Have some work as a tiny electrical problem needs to be solved (might be bad earthing/ coil or distributer) and I'm not sure the clutch is well adjusted, but I'm driving again!!

Without much experience I've done most works myself, but without the VWAR knowledge I would never been able to get this far.
The autosticks are quite rare in Europe, even most aircooled garages have no autostick experience.

Thanks for all the help and advice I have received and found here!!

I'm very happy with the results!

Beautiful car Paul. Engine bay is excellent...
Because the Beetle convertible has a padded roof it is called a Cabriolet... like Yours.
Convertibles just had a vinyl roof with NO PADDING.... Many companies made their convertible roof like that.... much cheaper.... No Padded roof..
You can be proud of your car.. and I thought You may have a problem making a 1500 engine... they are very rare... Most have been made into 1600 cc engine.
Do You have a metal strap [like a battery strap] at the front of the gearbox , to ground/ earth out the engine??
I have added more then one Earth strap to My Beetle engine and gearbox...
