A/S won't always go into gear

Great that you found the problem!

Now that everything is in running shape, don't be a stranger.  You might be the guy to steer somebody else the way to fixing their problem.

I checked the adjuster after I had arrived and couldn't select reverse without knocking it in
which made a loud grinding noise..
the adjuster was painted, and I didn't think it could have moved
but maybe the adjuster and the nut bot moved
as they weren't done up tight..

I have locked the locknut this time..
and the shifter works fine..

will crunch in reverse if I try really fast to select it..
which is how i like it..
Just selecting slowly
goes in every time..
so its not adjusted too far...
