I have heard that as long as it is in neutral you should have no problems, it's the same as towing a standard trans.

Hiya key,

There is no direct mechanical connection between the engine and the wheels due to the presence of the torque converter.  You are OK to tow the AS.  Of course, you need to keep it in nuetral. 

If you'd like to be extra careful you could either remove the halfshafts (messy but not particularly difficult) or flatbed it to your destination.
