Hiya All,

Take a look at the following article about a one owner car.  Don't forget to read for details!  And definitely do the slideshow!

Mike,
What a great story! Her KG looks very pristine. Do you know if they use salt on the roads up N.Y. way? Doubly great effort keeping it rust free (pretty much?) if they do use salt.

Well, if that isn't exactly what VW ownership is about! It gets under your skin and there is no shaking it off. My earliest memory is of being bundled in a blanket with no seatbelt on in the front seat of my moms '64 bus, Hildegard. That was her work car, the fun car was her '69 Ghia. When I got old enough, my first car was a '74 super. Sold that and got a '64 beetle that I drove for 11 years. Never should have sold it, but thought it was time to "grow up". 5 years later I got the current '71 superbug and plan on it being the last car I buy. If the oil runs out I'll convert it to electric if I have to, though I hope that never comes to pass. Part of the joy is tinkering and being "involved" with your ride, dirty nails and cut up knuckles are part and parcel.

I love the late model Karmann Ghias... that are very rare in Australia..

Great article Mike...
