Perhaps there is some hard/software conflict on my end, but everytime I want to post a reply or a new topic, the forum asks me to enter my username & password. I do, check the save box, and login, then the login screen pops up again. After about 5 or 6 tries, I finally get through. Is this happening to anyone else? Or is there something that I'm doing wrong? Sorry to get off the forum topic, but I'd like to enjoy this site, and constantly having to reenter my username & password is not helping. Thank you for any help you can provide. :?

Wo-ho! I'm ever so glad to meet up with you! I go through the exact same thing every time I post. I've learned to save my posts because the forum software loses them every time I submit them. Then I have to log in again and reply again. About five or six rounds of this and I finally get through. Persistence, it seems, pays off.
Interestingly, I have had the same sort of problem with other forums (The Samba and Shoptalk) using the same software. The problem has cleared up for me over at The Samba. Everett, the forum moderater suggested that the problem might have to do with cookies. To tell the truth, I did nothing over there with cookies, but the format works for me there.
By far and away VWAR is the worst of the bunch.
Bjorn, if you're reading this, is there anything we (or you) can do to alleviate this problem?

1970 Bus - The Ruptured Duck
This smell like a cookies problem (more information about cookies http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/privacy/config.asp ), BUT i am not convinced, because i use a browser (Opera :-) and firewall thats block all cookies, and have no problems to log on. Have also test the forum with Netscape and Internet Explorer without any problems.
I notice that "The Samba" are using a updated version of the forum, so i have now downloaded the upgrade, do not know if this is the problem, but its worth a try.
The upgrade will hopefully be done in a few days :D

Finally the forum is now updated to the latest version .
Hopefully this will correct the Log in problem ?
Took some time, because of a total harddisc crash, but the PC looks to work fine again :D
