Thanks for the pics... Car looks great... My favorite Beetle color.. White..
Sorry to see Your Beetle with a damaged rear end...

You will be able to replace the engine lid with a later model so Your engine can breath easier... eerrrr  cool easier.....

Howdy again,
Took it down to the crash repair place (best in SA) owner is a VW lover so not scared about leaving it there, but it is approx $2000AU damage, mainly cause that rear apron is bent and un fixable so gotta cut it off and replace it. This also includes a propper repaint.

Lee: Its actually a Porche pearl (slightly off white).
Untitled: Well long storey short, Its a Monza 1600 exhaust but customised to fit on the beetle, will try and get some pics of it as i havent seen any done like it like custom heater tubest from the heater boxes ect.

Day after i posted these pics im driving along and the seat welds actually broke its ok i welded it all back up but thats gotta be the hardest thing to do ever drive normally wityh a seat that likes to rock backwards when you accelerate. :P

Anyway thanks for your comments will get a pic or two of the engine as well when i can get the light right for a good pic.

Why don't You drill off the old rear valance and fit a removeable fiberglass one... it makes taking the engine out so so easy.... even with the rear wheels on the ground....  Fellow in Brisbane makes them...
only about $60 from memory....   John Sherman is the fellow..

I have been wondering where in the world You live...  You haven't filled out Your profile properly...  luckily I just saw the number plate on Your beetle...
Not a lot of Aussie people on here...
How about filling in Your profile...
cheers
