Title: semi auto clutch servo
Post by: drmuddle on March 12, 2003, 01:06:45 AM
Has anyone any idea where i could get a clutch servo from for my 69 semi auto 1300cc? i think the rubber diaphragm has a split inside it causing gears to crunch(it has been adjusted). When i blow into the pipe connection i can feel and hear air passing through which slowly causes the clutch arm to move back? Also can i still get hold of the dual oil pump and/or the gaskets? please help!
Thanks...Nick

most autostick parts are at california import parts
www.cip1.com . gaskets are the same as a standard pump, but you need two.

I was having the same problem today. I decided to take it apart and see if I could fix it. Come to find out it had A 3/4 inch rip in it. I grabbed the tire repair kit I use on my daughters bike and after scrubbing it with plenty of soap and water used the kit like I do on tires and I fixed the problem and it is working great. it was a little difficukt getting it apart but if you can save 99.00 on a rebiuld kit it's worth it

Hiya Jerry,

I'm guessing that you're here in the States.

If so, do know that you can get a clutch servo repair kit for about $15US at almost any VW oriented FLAPS.  Throw in a few bucks more and one of the online parts houses will deliver it to your door.  And that might not be a bad idea for you with that ripped bladder - it won't last forever with the inner tube patch.

Hiya Jerry,

Not that I'm a big fan of theirs, but try RMMW.  They have had the repair bladder for a AS servo advertised in their catalog forever.  CIP1 probably has it also.
