Looking very tasty! Strange to see an early bug with a padded dash. I don't think we got them here in Oz until much later.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes the car came with the padded dash original here in the US starting in 1968 I believe. VW was starting to conform to US safety standards which is why the US model 68s and 69s came with padded dashes and 3 point seat belts.
