I have a 71 super beetle. All gears work good except reverse. It will not engage. Can some one please help!

It may be broken, or, you're not putting it in reverse. Check your stop plate adjustment. Even if everything was working previously, I've have the plate move on me and suddenly couldn't get into certain gears.
