Title: Evaluating damages
Post by: KG68-69 on September 21, 2003, 02:21:59 PM
Hello!

Having replace the ATF oil tank on my Karmann, I seen too late that there was a node on the return line. I started the motor but I didn't run. I only engaged gears . Consequence: ATF Oil is now covering the floor under the car.

Do I broke something?
From where comes the oil covering the floor? (junction line between the converter and return line?)
Is there a security on the converter to allow oil to escape in this case?
Do I have to replace some parts now?
Now that I have fixed the node, do I have only to fill the ATF oil tank and nothing else?

Thanks a lot for your response.
