AS to manual conversion please help

hi this is my first post here but i have had nothing but trouble with my AS so im coverting it to manual over the next week but the i know it can be done but the only thing i am worried about is the clutch tube that goes from the pedal assebly to the clutch itself i was wondering if any one knew if the car had the clutch tube already in there

i have a 1969 AS

soon to have a 1915cc and a 4 speed

Hiya Do0zman,

I think you have misinterpreted the primary function of this website. We are not hanging around here to promote the scrapping of AutoSticks.  We are interested in preserving these vehicles.

As to your question regarding the presence of a clutch tube in your 69.....to be perfectly honest, it's really a crapshoot.  As production developed in the seventies one was more likely to find the clutch tube welded into equipped cars.  With the pre-seventy cars it was most definitely hit and miss.

Here's a radical thought.  Have you considered just going out to the car and looking?

And one more thing......if you go ahead with your plan to convert, please make sure that you sell the AS parts to someone who can use them - not the junkers.
