Hi I am Olgun From Turkey. After changing the gear, I need to press on the acceleration pedal twice or three times. Namely, there is no problem with the stickto go in gear, but my bug moves after pressing the pedal  afew times. It is same when going from low range to first or first range to the second. What may the problem be? I would be glad if anyone could help me:(:(:(:(:(:(

Hi,
Not sure what tools you have, so here are a few checks you can do without the need.

1. Take off the distributor cap and the rotor, then rotate the engine and check to see how wide the points are opening. The thickness of a matchbox is about what you are looking for. If they barely open when on the highest point of one of the distributor lobes you will have to adjust the points and then set the timing.

2. What distributor have you got? There should be a metal can on it for a standard one. A "009" has no can. You can check to see whether your vacuum advance is OK (this is the can, if you have one) by removing the distributor cap and rotor and removing the hoses from the can. Reach into the distributor and push the arm that goes into the can forward towards the can. Hold it there and use your other fingers to block where the hose(s) attached. Now let go of the arm. It should stay where it is and you should feel suction on your fingers. If it goes back to where it started, you need some work done on your distributor.

3. Now to check the fuel system a little. Take off the aircleaner (careful!! it may be an oil filled type) so you can see your carburettor. Have a friend press the accelerator to the floor and hold it there while you are looking down into the carburettor. You should see a squirt of fuel come out of a bent pipe near the top. Next thing to check is whether the flap at the bottom is open all the way and sits like -> |  inside the carburettor. If it doesn't you will have to adjust your accelerator cable.

That's a simple start.....

Anything else I could suggest involves tools and a manual.....

If I were you, I would be buying a technical manual.....Bentley if you can afford it, Haynes if you are strapped for cash.

And don't forget to put it all back to the way you found it. If you can, pictures are worth a thousand words......

Enjoy

If You disconnect the small vacuum hose going to the carburetor...
This is what will happen.... the hose may be cracked or have fallen off...
One end goes to the electromagnetic control valve on the Left Hand side of the engine bay... the other end to the carburetor...
