Does any one have a picture of how the bumper bracket, and atf canister share connections to get bolt to the underneath of the car.  Someone else took it apart, and now I need to put back to gether, and obviously there are some shared bolts.   A good picture would be most helpful of both sides please.

Hi Steve
I have pics of the ATF tank from a 68 beetle..
I just  need to find them on this computer.. lol
saw them yesterday.. lol.. as someone else had the same problem
My ATF tank has 2 bolts in it.. My Vacuum tank has only one bolt
at the moment..  they are both hard to bolt on..
I don't know how they did it at the factory when making the cars??
I found the ATF tank was easier to bolt on after taking My bumper bracket off at one time.. and seeing how the bolts go on
as it has a slot which makes it sort of easier..

I'll look for the photo..

Thanks Lee,    it would be a great help to see the underneath and see how the bumper bracket fits in/ around/ under the ATF cannister on one side, and the Vacumn canister on the other. It is very tight in there, and want to get it right the first time.

Hi Steve
it seems I only have pics of the tanks off the car..  not fitted, apart from photos with the fenders on, which doesn't really help..   I just remembered, that the bumper brackets could not be fitted with the fenders off, as they need to go thru the slots in the fenders..??  so, that is why its so hard to bolt the tanks on... with the bumper brackets... and the fenders in place...
I should have reinvented the bumper brackets, so they go straight out, and then are bolted to the remaining bumper bracket... lol .. [bolted together]

that would have fixed the problem...  looking at the ATF tank...
if You took the tank off the round clamping bracket piece You should be able to see where the bolts go... then clamp the tank on afterwards.. Maybe that is how they did it at the factory???
