Beetle Semi Auto parts for sale,

Gearbox (later style nosecone)
Hydraulic lines and vacuum hoses
Flex plate for engine, retaining bolts, gland nut
Vacuum tanks (I have some good original tanks that can go with the set up as well)
Gearbox strap
Semi Auto starter
Semi Auto oil pump
Control Valve
Wiring loom, rear section (off and earlier Semi)

This is a good clean set up from a working vehicle, it was removed as body too far gone so has been scrapped. The gearbox needs a replacment front mount as this is cracked where the lug sticks out to attach to the rubber mount (the casing is fine). This can be repaired or alternatively I have a gearbox stap available that can go with the box. The tanks offered with the box have been repaired previously and 1 modified but can be returned to stock (I have some good original tanks that can go with the set up as well) - they modded ones work just fine. I want £200 for all the bits and don't want to split as this is a clean complete set up. I am selling don't have a semi auto and have just bought a new early Audi which this obviously won't fit, alternatively if anyone wants the audi I will get a semi and keep the spares  ;D

Hiya Matt,

Welcome and thanks for the picture!

This does look like a nice set-up.

A couple of points you MIGHT want to consider about this sale.  I understand your reason for  not wanting to split up the parts.  However, by not splitting up the parts you narrow your market in two important aspects.  One is geography.  Most folks out there will not be willing to pay the shipping charges on all the parts.  This limits you to the market in your area. People who can drop by and cart off the load on their own.

And most people looking for AS related parts already have their own AS set-ups.  They will be looking for specific AS replacements rather than an entire set-up.  I can't recall having seen an entire AS set-up get sold.  Which, of course, does NOT mean that you cannot sell it in the manner you are proposing.

You might have the entire thing sold tomorrow.  Just thought I'd throw in the opinions/advice even though they were not asked for.

Good point, I may well have to split but the price as a full set up was pretty cheap. If anyone wants any specific parts I am welcome to offers and can ship -all I ask is that if people want parts shipped please get a quote from somewhere such as www.interparcel.com, the collection address is Kingston upon Thames. Hi Mike,
Well, I have bought a complete assembly from about 900kms away..
[plus another complete assembly locally..]
I waited until I found someone who knew someone etc
that was coming past where the 900km gearbox assy was located..
both owners just wanted to sell ALL the bits

so I have lots of spares..
the dual pumps are not usuallly included as they are left on the engine...
and probably thrown away..

then again, the UK isn't that big compared to Australia and the USA...

and I like to have spares of most things...  lol
