I was in a car show last Sunday

I drove about 150 kms to a FORD car show last Sunday..
My Son is half VW and half Ford enthusiast...

He entered My car in the show [so WE wouldn't have to walk far...]

There was a trophy for the best Volkswagen and it was peoples choice..

There was only one other Beetle there... a New Beetle with a $5000 paint job
it was covered in murals....

and I missed out....   
[now if I can just find where that New Beetle came from and somehow stop him from showing up next year, I may just Win the Trophy]

My car wasn't cleaned inside or out, although its always clean on the outside..

Oh well, at least I did get excited....

Well, that's interesting.  So..........down in Oz they consider a New Beetle a Volkswagen?

Hmmmmm, to tell the truth, I dunno how they could overlook your "colorful" approach to painting your component parts.  You really do deserve an award for creativity!

Hi Mike,
I really needed a display board to put details of the car on,
as most people wouldn't know if it was old or new... lol..
and probably where it was made etc...

seeing it was a FORD show....

Yes, the New beetle is regarded as a VW here as there are always some at every VW show...  but Honestly I've never taken any notice of them....

lined up with all those 400-600HP Fords....

     You're not going to turn into a trailer sailor?    

I've seen that NB at a local show down here. Absolutely wild graphics and the owner does show it off to full effect. I reckon he's with the FlatFour lads from Sydney, as I discovered the "billet bug" is with those guys too.

Well He had about 50 New Beetles on a track around His car...
Also had the engine going -idling for hours as He had lights flashing, and maybe a stereo playing....   I didn't really look at it....

I love looking at the billet beetle...
its one of a kind...
and everytime i see it, He's made more bits...
He did sell some bits he had made at one show...

I didn't go to enter the show, My Son paid for Us to park with the Fords...
then i wished I'd done all the things i am going to do one day....
one day....

Well I attanded a Fair and Vintage car show about 100kms from home

Seeing I had to start the engine each time, with a screwdriver on the starter motor solenoid, after jacking the car up with My trusty VW jack...

Gas station first time...
At the Fair when going home...
At McDonalds car part on the way home...

I fixed the problem next day...
the connections in My nuetral switch had come out the back of the plug...
