Hi Gavhan
I've got a semi auto gearbox for sale and loads of other semi auto bits that I had for mine until I sold it 2 weeks ago. If you need anything let me know and make me an offer!
I'm based in Nottingham so shouldn't be too far away either!
Cheers
Paul

Hi Tom
I've always thought it a big job going from manual to autostick

but when you have all the bits and know what to do..
as there are a few little differences...
like the lockout plate under the gearshifter..
length of the gearshifter rod... etc..
and the autostick gear lever has a pin at the front
so the gearlever is always in the same position..
cannot be turned around with the knob.. as the electrical points are designed to be in the same position..
fitting the ATF tank would be the hardest job for Me... lol
as they are a pain to bolt to the existing bumper bracket bolts...

although I have had My beetle apart about 10+ times... lol
and replaced gearboxes etc..  :D

But its great driving an autostick...
once You get all the adjustments correct...  lol
and I have only just got the thumping out of mine
thru adjusting the control valve,,,

Are You in the UK Tom??
I was reading where only 1800 1303s were sold in the UK..
so they are fairly rare cars now...
I don't know how many were sold in Australia but they
aren't that common either...
most [pre 1303] VW owners loved the flat dashboard so
didn't buy a 1303...   :D

they are the preferred beetle for racing though... [in Australia]
as the front end can be adjusted and modified with Porsche or Golf parts..

cheers
