Looking for a set of metal ATF lines.  ANYONE got a set that they will part with?  Awaiting replys

I see that nobody has replied to you yet.  I don't have any spare lines...but I have a set on the car I'm rebuilding.  One of them is smashed up pretty good.  I'm likely going to try having somebody local duplicate them for me.  If I'm successful in that, I could have a second set made and ship them to you...or could give you the info you need to have somebody make them for you. Not sure if the fittings are going to be something unusual or not.  I'll try to keep you posted.

Take care!!

Travis,

If at all possible, and you end up having a second set of lines made for Triker Walt, could you have a third set made for me? I'm converting a 4-speed to an autostick. Thanks,

Pat

Great to see such friendship between fellow autostick owners...

I've read where in Europe You can get the hoses made up new complete with fittings so I presume the fittings on the pump
are standard Metric fittings too...

anyone ever thought of using hoses instead of pipes??

I've always wondered if pipes were used to either cool the ATF... [seems unlekely with all the hot air and closeby exhaust system]
or whether it was easier when assembling cars in the factory.. I believe its just the latter...

so, maybe a hose could go from the pump up to the bellhousing on the gearbox..??

All,
A word of caution. The pipes are restricted "just so". Put fullflow fittings on them may upset the system balance.
No problem with using hoses so long as these "restrictions" are maintained.

I went through this years ago with another guy with a trike. Mind you, it may have been what he'd done that I didn't
know about:P .

TheSamba.com classifieds. Just search on "auto stick" .

Yes
the inside Diameter has to be the same...
now if they are the same in the pipes and hoses???

knowing that the pressure pipes and hoses and smaller than the return line..

making fittings and using random size hoses.. YIKES...

cheers
