Hi Bill

Could Your wife drive an autostick Beetle?
She can just put it into Drive 2 and just drive..
She only needs to know to put it into neutral so it will start..
If She is driving around town She can just use Drive 1...

Reverse would be the hardest one to learn...
but I'm sure it would make Your job a lot easier..

only two pedals...

as soon as She moves the gear knob, it goes into neutral..
so, She can't really hurt anything...

cheers
