VW autostick with 83,037 original miles. This car was purchased from daughter of original owner in Phoenix in 2006. It spent it's first 10 years in new jersey when in 1978 the family moved to arizona. I have original bill of sale, transfer registration documents, and original owners manual for the car.

I had the engine rebuilt on the car and it was upgraded to a 1600 dual port. I believe given the information on the receipt for the work that the engine was swapped for an AH code engine, which is a 73 year. It has a bocar 34-pic 3 carb and the original 68 205 P? distributor that came with that year. I had the car tuned up and the mechanic said the distributor had a 39 degree advance when he tested it. I have purchasd a 205 AH dvda distributor that is original for the 73 year to go with the carb. I have never swapped them out. The car ran well while running with the 68 dist. year.  Also, I did some things I wasn't supposed to when owning the car just not knowing. Turned down the idle to get more top end. It eventually overheated on hot days and I didn't do a valve adjustment after that. I think this contributed to me ruining the newly rebuilt engine. So, alot of work has been done to the car with all documented receipts. Thousands of dollars were spent. I am not willing to put any more money into it.

The transmission has had the rear main seal, including transmission pan seal, one of the feed lines to the transmission, oil seal and atf pump and oil pump seals replaced. The car has independent rear suspension. The car has new seat upholstery along with new carpet throughout. Sound deadening material was installed in the luggage compartment firewall in the rear along with the floor boards. The car has some paint blemishes, I would give it a 7/10. There is one small dent on the passengar side door about the size of a dime. The undercarraige was steam cleaned and shows nice. It has the original look and feel of a car of this era. Original am stereo. 1,000 miles on new tires. The car has been garaged since I have owned it.
This car is a great project car that is in good running order except for the engine. Got any questions please send an email or give me a call. I can send some pictures.
Thanks.
