I need a tan boot for my '71.  The one I'm using is black and just doesn't
look right.  Will buy or trade.

Hiya john,

Have you checked out Chuck's Convertibles?  He's supposed to be the guru of convertible tops and their component parts.  If anybody is going to have your boot, he's the guy.  He does have vinyl boots (this is from an old listing so don't hold me to these prices) listed at $95 and canvas boots at $185.  Point your browser at WWW.CHUCKSCONVERTIBLEPARTS.COM

Thanks,  I'll check it out.

I still have it.  But I kind of let looking for a new, tan boot ride because a valve guide broke,  the eng. started throwing oil , etc. and I'm saving up for a rebuild while my '71 sits in the garage.

Hiya John,

That's a bummer.

Are you going to do the rebuild yourself or "outsource" it?

I just got the "outsourced" engine back.  I had 87mm Mahle pistons installed.  It runs great and starts quickly.  Maybe I should get a 2brl. carb?
