I've finally finished overhauling My beetle engine

and its going great...

I should have glued all the nuts on
maybe welded...    lol

as i don't want to do it again...

gearbox - no noise....

engine Purring...

I love it...

My beetle is really going great
No black smoke anymore either...
when revving the engine...

only thing I can think of - is that the pistons and heads were shining clean
as there was a few mms of carbon on the pistons and on the heads
when I pulled it apart....

Cold weather Is here.. 4C at the moment...
probably 0C in the morning...

looks like i might need a choke on My carburetor this winter...

I drove about 400kms this weekend with no problems, no leaks..

Car really went well in the 80kmh speed limits in traffic...

I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep up, but many times I beat the other cars from the traffic lights...lol

so, very pleased with the performance...
