This is a BRAND NEW Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia Autostick Servo DIAPHRAGM.

This Diaphragm is made of a high quality heat-resistant rubber. I had started to product this part before one year. It's working perfectly on two beetles in hot weather of Israel from april 2007. Also I had sold a few diafragm to USA. In May 2008 I had opened my servo - the rubber like new!

Diaphragm DOES NOT include the metal clip (ring)! - use the old one from brasilian kit or the ring from track's brake's booster.

The Price - 30 US dollars.
The shipping cost is same to all the world - 5 US dollars by regular post.

Good Luck!!

Good to see you back, and good to see the longevity is holding out!

Could you explain which particular truck air brake clamp we all should look for?

I found the clamp in MAN's garage. But, I think, it possible to find in many others firms.
The size of the clamp calling: "TYPE 16". Diameter after closing 155 mm.

interesting
I have two spare servos, but who knows how long they will last
whether used or just sitting there...
and they all have non reuseable clamps...

Did You buy one Sean??

I have a spare kit as well, and a spare servo.  Wondering what proper storage for the diaphragm might be -swathed in petroleum jelly in an airtight package?

Hiya Larry,

Airtight package?  Yes.

Petroleum jelly?  No.  Most rubber compounds do not like petroproducts.

Cosmoline? Air tight is not truly air tight (I'm thinking ziploc baggie).  I'm worried about dry rot...like most of the parts I'm fishing out of my parts stash for the Ghia.

But one of those vacuum food sealer thingies would probably do it.

Larry,
Brake Rubber Grease. Traipse along to a large brake shop and see what they have.
