a lamp in the dash that will light when the gearshifter points close..

I am going to add a lamp to the dash that will light when I push the gearshifter
backwards or forwards, so I'll know if the points are working.
Maybe a better one would be to have it connected to the Control valve..

but they would basically do the same thing..

then I'll know if I have a points problem...
'the lamp will be connected to the ignition power
and the ground/earth side will be attache to the points switch wire..

mmm nice simple relay woudl be good for that.

Woudl also be cool for a gear stick that lights up.

WEll, One of the locals has a redback spider in a clear plactic knob
and He has now put a bulb inside it..
I really don't like deadly spiders in My gearhandle....  lol

even a dual LED could beused, resulting in green for Oil lamp and RED for gear shifter???
maybe just put two LEDs inside the lamp unit..
