       How far did the body shop go? Shifter stick removal? Undo everything and slap it back together later? Let us know how you go on Mike and Lee's suggestions. Fingers crossed the shop just ballsed up the alignment and such but I'm wondering if they got the stick stop plate wrong as well....

Oh yeah.  Good thinking.  That possibility didn't occur to me. 

Definitely worth checking out Craig!  When you pull the gear shift lever be sure to take a picture of the gear shift stop plate just as it is now sitting on the tunnel.  And about the replacement position of the gear shift lever - gotta be exact as I mentioned before - take a look at my response to Lee's latest thread about getting rid of his crunch.
