V8 Supercars racing in Australia have switch in Gershifter like autosticks...

Watched the First Race yesterday of the Australian v8Supercars..

and they showed that the long gearlever used in these cars
have a switch that operates similar to Our autosticks... it pivots when the gearshifter is moved...
and it switches the engine OFF for a few milliseconds while they change gear without
pressing in the clutch pedal....

Interesting....

I never use a clutch pedal either.... lol

So, we can safely assume that all of us Autostick drivers are fully qualified to drive V8 Supercars, right?  ;)
