I'm looking to buy a bracket for my 73. The previous owner replaced the bumper bracket and threw the bracket out with it (D@mn him). Until recently, all was held to the car with zip ties. I bought a new clamp for the tank. Now I just need the bracket to reattach it to the bumper bracket.

Thanks

Hiya Dave,

Is this what you're looking for...................

By the way, Mark Bolina is strictly a top-notch seller.  Great parts (usually in wonderful shape), very reasonable prices, and quick shipping.

Mike,

It's funny you posted that. I was just at his house yesterday and asked him about buying one. He seemed to think that the one he had would only work for later set ups. He's been very good to me and has a lot more knowledge about parts than myself. Is it possible he's mistaken on this one?

Dave

PS. Mark is a true find. He's got a ton of parts and is honest as the day is long.

Strange.

Mark never returned my email on that item. I didn't push because I've got other things to fix first.

Truthfully, I am not aware of any changes in the vacuum or ATF tanks until the 1975 (fuel injected) models.  That certainly doesn't mean there were not changes.  I'd be inclined to trust Mark's judgement.  However, since he's in the area, you just might ask him if he'd be willing to part with a bracket conditionally.  That way you could haul it home and test it for fit.  If it works, great; if not, take it back.

He is that!  A great resource to be sure.

Mike,
I'm sure he would let me give it try. Good idea.

War,
If you still want the bracket, try him again. He's pretty busy and this is just a hobby for him. If you don't want it now, let me know and I'll buy it.

Go ahead and get it. I think I've found a local source for my backet needs.

Thanks for getting back to me War,

I emailed Mark and bought it. He did say that it was for the later style 74's and up with the newer bumper brackets. For now I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work, I'm sure someone else will want it down the road.
