I'm really struggling to post more than one photo at a time. How do you post those long strings of photos and add text in between them?

Upload your pictures at the samba or any other photo host. Once you've done that, view the picture at that site and copy the link for it in the address line. When you post on here just click on the picture icon and paste the address between the "img" and "img".

Ps The photos don't have to be yours, you can do this with anyones photo.

You should see something like this pop up when you click the picture icon.  [ img /img ]

Here are some wheels I just redid.

Do they have to be a certain size?

Hiya Michael,

I'm sure the Simple Machines programming does limit the size (total pixels) of the pictures.  But I have never had any problem importing a picture from PhotoBucket.

Here's what I do when I go about posting pictures...............

Snap the subject with my digital camera.
Download it into my computer My Pictures folder
Go to PhotoBucket at http://photobucket.com/
Tell PhotoBucket I want to upload from my computer
Select the pictures I want to upload from My Pictures
PhotoBucket uploads and displays them in an album format
Select the picture I want to use
Photobucket gives me four possible ways to use that picture.
I select Direct Link
I hit copy in the ToolBar Edit pulldown column
I go to VWAR
I select the Insert Image icon above the text writing box
That places a cursor between the image insert commands
I hit Paste in the Toolbar Edit pulldown column

That produces the picture in the text like this......

And note that PhotoBucket also allows you to customize your pictures with text, designs, and effects.  Really pretty neat.

The samba will limit the file size. I normally select the email setting on my camera (460 x ?) and that seems to do pretty well with download speed and quality.

Thanks guys. That's just what I needed. Idiot proof instructions (well, we'll see). I have a busy week ahead, but we're keeping commitments to a minimum next weekend. I should have time then to try photobucket and post my backlog of photos. ;D

I haven't really tried the photobucket way as yet...

but if My pics are too large - on here
You  have to cancel that post and start again..
its a pain if you have just written a long post which involved a lot of thinking...lol

192kb is the maximum it tells Me... that includes text
I did use the Glow and Moving [marquee] Text a few times but it stops
You adding a pic of 128kb [from memory]

but it says when you post
128kb per attachment ; maximum 5...

PS: I'll have to learn how to send more than one pic at a time too..lol
